Events
You’ll champion your classmates’ work and build community at a variety of student-produced events throughout the year.
Manifest
Each May, we take over the South Loop to showcase our students’ original works and celebrate. The day-long event is fully produced and run by our students—you can spot gallery exhibitions, play an original video game, hear some excellent literary readings, and more. You’ll also attend a free concert by a big-name artist; past headliners include Chance the Rapper, Ella Mai, Twin Peaks, and Saba. And, you’re invited to Manifest 2025! Save the date for Friday, May 16 to experience Manifest in person.colum.edu/manifest
New Student Convocation
Convocation is our way of saying, “Welcome home.” Held in right before the school year starts, this fair-style event allows you to mix and mingle with fellow creatives, learn about student organizations, attend a concert, enjoy free lunch, and take home plenty of free stuff.
Big Mouth
This biannual event features students performing original works, from rock bands and dancers to comedy sets and spoken word. You can sign up to perform or grab a seat to cheer on your friends.
