On-Campus Tours: Health and Safety

For the health and safety of our visitors and campus community, we have implemented safety measures that align with the Chicago Department of Health’s orders. We will provide additional information to you at the time of your visit. In the meantime, here are some preliminary protocols:

  • If you have been diagnosed with COVID-19 or have symptoms of COVID-19, we ask that you enjoy one of our virtual events or view our facilities videos instead of visiting campus.
  • All visitors are asked to perform a symptom assessment before arriving on campus for symptoms of COVID-19, including 1) fever, cough, or shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, or 2) at least two of these symptoms: fever, chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat or new loss of taste or smell. If you or anyone in your party are experiencing any of these symptoms or feel ill on the day of your visit, please contact us to reschedule.
  • All visitors are expected to wear an adequate face covering over their nose and mouth at all times while inside any building on campus. Visitors are strongly encouraged to wear a face covering when outside a building as well, and in particular when social distancing cannot be maintained. If you need a face covering, we are happy to provide one to you.
  • Visitors should maintain social distancing measures by keeping a minimum of 6 feet in between themselves and others at all times while on campus.
  • Hand sanitizer is available in multiple locations on campus.
  • Each tour is limited to one student/family.
  • Not all of our academic facilities are viewable this summer. We will do our best to accommodate each visitor, but we cannot guarantee access to all spaces.
